More

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) is a fast-growing association of patients, family members and medical professionals dedicated to finding a way to prevent and cure pulmonary hypertension (PH). PHA is committed to maintaining the organization’s volunteer spirit and to building opportunities for those affected by PH to be involved in solutions to the challenges the illness creates.

The Publications internship offers students and recent graduates a structured experience working with PHA’s staff and constituents to assist in producing PHA’s quarterly newsletter, Pathlight, and to further PHA’s outreach to the community. PHA is committed to serving and promoting the voice of the community through Pathlight and our other print materials. The support provided by the intern will enable us to engage the PH community in PHA publications and continue providing valuable print resources to our constituents. The intern will report to PHA’s Publications Manager.

Interns will:

  • gain valuable experience in the field of writing and editing, as well as in publishing and print production
  • coordinate and manage volunteer writers and contributors
  • manage community projects to engage writers and contributors

You will be treated as a respected team member. Our office is a friendly and welcoming environment. If you would like to design a project that helps you meet your educational goals, we will work with you to achieve this.

  • have an interest in journalism, writing and editing; familiarity with AP style a plus
