Rino Aldrighetti

Rino Aldrighetti, President x741

Rino is PHA's President. Besides direct management of the association, his responsibilities include planning, program development and fundraising. Rino oversees the following departments: Advocacy and Awareness, International Services and Finance. Adrienne Dern

Adrienne Dern, Senior Vice President x750

Adrienne is PHA’s Senior Vice President. In that role, her major responsibilities fall in the areas of fundraising and patient-serving programs. She works closely with PHA’s Development team on individual and constituent fundraising, as well as foundation and government grant-seeking. In the patient services area, Adrienne is involved with our Patient Outreach and Services program, volunteer services and the production of PHA’s numerous print publications. Adrienne also works with the Board of Trustee’s Strategic Planning Committee and collaborates with PHA President Rino Aldrighetti on a number of projects.

Advocacy and Awareness

Katherine Kroner

Katherine Kroner, Director of Advocacy and Awareness x749

Katie is PHA’s Director of Advocacy and Awareness. Katie coordinates PHA’s grassroots advocacy efforts, including the 435 Campaign. She maintains online action alerts, manages the advocacy listserv and provides patients and supporters with tools and resources to build successful relationships with their elected officials. Katie is the first point of contact for information about PH Awareness Month in November, the Pulmonary Hypertension Research Act, the Congressional Luncheon and the PH Resource Network Lobby Day.

Margaret Beardsworth

Margaret Beardsworth, Insurance Program Manager x773

Advocacy and Awareness Associate, Margaret Beardsworth, serves as PHA's insurance advocate. She is the first point of contact for questions and comments about the insurance portion of PHA's website. In addition, she gathers patients' stories about their insurance challenges in order to help shape PHA's insurance policy agenda. Finally, Margaret works closely with PHA's medical and corporate partners in efforts to raise awareness about PH among insurance payors.

 Elisabeth Williams

Elisabeth Williams, Grassroots Campaigns Associate x753

As Grassroots Campaigns Associate, Elisabeth works to build volunteer membership in the 435 Campaign (legislative advocacy) PHAware Campaign (media outreach) and support current Campaign members in their communications with their Members of Congress and the media. Elisabeth is available to provide resources, advice and support to anyone interested in PH advocacy or media awareness. Elisabeth also coordinates the collection of PH community stories through Our Journeys.

Development

Jillian McCabe

Jillian McCabe, Associate Director of Development x767

As PHA’s Associate Director of Development, Jillian works to implement development programs that foster support for PHA. Programs include membership and annual giving, major donor support and foundation grant-seeking. In conjunction with the other members of the development team, Jillian works to implement direct-mail solicitations and conduct donor cultivation and other development-related activities. Jillian is also the contact for PHA’s Circle of Friends program.

Jennifer Kaminski

Jennifer Kaminski, Development Associate x756

As Development Associate, Jennifer works to implement programs that foster support for PHA, its programs, services and research agenda. Jennifer coordinates Our Workplace Has a Heart, which features PHA’s myriad workplace giving programs, including the Combined Federal Campaign, and In Honor of Our Lives, PHA’s program to include PH awareness and fundraising in celebration of personal milestones. Jennifer is also the contact for the Sustainer’s Circle, PHA’s monthly giving program. In conjunction with the other members of the development team, Jennifer answers donor and member inquiries.

Jessica McKearin

Jessica McKearin, Special Events Manager x765

As PHA’s Special Events Manager, Jessica works closely with volunteers as well as friends and family of PH patients to plan fundraisers across the country. By offering advice, guidance, and materials, Jessica provides volunteer coordinators with support they need to make their event a success. She also creates new special event campaigns, programs and resources, making a variety of special event opportunities available to the PH community.

 Jenna Roe

Jenna Roe, Special Events Associate x742

As Special Events Associate, Jenna provides PHA’s veteran volunteer event planners with the necessary tools and resources to host successful fundraisers. Jenna also works on event planner recognition as well as development of the special events bi-monthly e-newsletter, Event-ful Times.

Finance and Administration

Patty Scuderi

Patty Scuderi, Director of Finance x751

Patty is PHA's Director of Finance. She has a degree in finance and over 10 years of accounting experience. She is responsible for financial reporting, accounting systems, budget and audit coordination, payroll and human resource administration.

 Dorothy Bradley

Dorothy Bradley, Office Assistant x752

Dorothy is a part-time Office Assistant at PHA. She jumps in to help with many mailings and other tasks. Dorothy has seen PHA through many of its changes.

April Grimsley 

April Grimsley, Administrative Assistant x746

As PHA’s Administrative Assistant, April is the first point of contact for members of the PH community. In addition to general office administration, April supports both the Finance and Development departments with processing donations and letters of acknowledgement. She also assists staff with various Web and IT projects.

Patty Hunt

Patty Hunt, Finance and HR Manager x747

Patty is PHA’s Finance and HR Manager. Her responsibilities include processing accounts payable, handling benefits administration, supervising the Administrative Assistant, and generally assisting the Director of Finance with matters relating to finance and HR.

Arsene Koissy

Arsene Koissy, Senior Database Associate x757

As Senior Database Associate, Arsene's duties include processing donations and updating member information in the database.

Jessica Ritter

Jessica Ritter, Office Operations and IT Manager x766

Jessica is PHA’s Office Operations Manager. In addition to helping out and overseeing the administrative staff, Jessica is responsible for overseeing the office space, maintenance and purchase of office equipment and managing a variety of internal office procedures.

Keisha Thomas

Keisha Thomas, Database Manager x748

As Database Manager, Keisha is charged with administering PHA’s 30,000+ database. Keisha focuses on overseeing the daily data entry, maintaining the integrity of the information that is stored, and processing gifts and memberships to PHA. Her duties also include oversight of staff training on database usage and developing the database into the staff’s go-to source for information.

International Services

Christine Dickler

Christine Dickler, Associate Director of International Services x760

PHA is pleased to work in connection with associations around the world to serve PH patients, their families, doctors and medical researchers. As the Associate Director of International Services, Christine Dickler works to facilitate the international exchange of reliable information and promote global awareness of the disease. Her work includes administering and promoting PHA’s international seed grant program, coordinating the translation efforts of PHA’s materials, and establishing relationships with PH organizations abroad. Christine previously worked as PHA’s Publications Manager.

Medical Services

 Meghan Finney

Meghan Finney, Patient Education Program Associate x744

As Patient Education Program Associate, Meghan is responsible for continuing to develop educational resources that provide patients and caregivers with information about pulmonary hypertension and its management. Meghan works to create patient-oriented brochures, website content, webinars, and chats. She continues to assess educational needs within the PH community and assists in the planning of PHA events such as the PHA on the Road program.

Rachel Wheat

Rachel Wheat, Medical Membership Program Associate x761

As Medical Membership Program Associate, Rachel is responsible for promoting membership in PH Resource Network and helping to develop the group’s knowledge and other resources in ways that will benefit the entire PH community. She provides assistance and support to each of the group’s five leadership committees as they develop organizationally to meet their goals. Rachel also assists in organizing PHA’s biennial PH Resource Network Symposium, the largest educational event in the field for PH allied health professionals.

Meetings and Conference Planning

Doreen Lucadamo

Doreen Lucadamo, Director of Meetings and Conference Planning x779

As Director of Meetings and Conference Planning, Doreen assists with the activities of the Meetings Planning Department, which is involved in a variety of exciting events and public health education projects. Doreen’s primary responsibilities include the coordination of logistics and marketing for the new education program for patients – PHA On The Road: PH Patients & Families Education Forum.

Suzanne Flood

Suzanne Flood, Marketing & Communications Associate x768

As Marketing & Communications Associate, Suzanne oversees the marketing and promotional efforts for a number of PHA events including PHA on the Road, PH Resource Network Symposium and PHA’s biennial International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions. She is also responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the marketing plan for PHA Online University.

Carsten Hailey

Carsten Hailey, Meetings Planning Associate x764

As a Meetings Planning Associate, Carsten manages the logistics of the Corporate Committee meetings as well as the biannual meetings of PH Resource Network Executive Committee, Scientific Leadership Council and Board of Trustees. Carsten is also responsible for aspects of PHA’s PH Resource Network Symposium and International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions, such as vendor management and the development of promotional materials handed out.

Office of the President

Amanda Butts

Amanda Butts, Associate Director, Office of the President x762

As Associate Director, Office of the President, Amanda works to maintain effective communication with the PHA Board members and supporters. She also manages PHA's educational grants.

Patti Lalley

Patti Lalley, Special Projects Assistant x774

As the Special Projects Assistant, Patti works on projects for the Office of the President, including Board- and Corporate Committee-related projects.  She also coordinates the intern program and the Survival Guide revision process.

 MeghanTammaro

Meghan Tammaro, Executive Programs Coordinator x801

As the Executive Programs Coordinator, Meghan is part of the team of staff that helps support the work of PHA's President. Meghan serves as the primary liaison to PHA's Board of Trustees and maintains PHA's historical archives.

Patient Outreach and Services

Emma Bonanomi

Emma Bonanomi, Associate Director, Patient Outreach and Services x777

As Associate Director, Patient Outreach and Services, Emma works with members of the PH community to expand programming among special populations of PH patients and caregivers. She builds pathways between these populations and PHA to help identify and prioritize the interests of these groups, and creates resources and services to meet identified needs.

Anastasia Raftopoulos

Anastasia Raftopoulos, Kerry Bardorf Family Support Program Associate x800

As the Kerry Bardorf Family Support Program Associate, Anastasia works with caregivers of adult PH patients and families of children with PH. She develops new resources, expands support and educational opportunities for adults, and creates new opportunities for young PH patients to connect with one another.

Publications

Megan Mallory

Megan Mallory, Associate Director, Publications x754

As Associate Director, Publications, Megan serves as PHA's primary writer, editor, and graphic designer for PHA promotional materials and print publications. She also coordinates the production and publication of PHA's newsletters and other print materials.

Volunteer Services

Debbie Castro

As PHA's Director of Volunteer Services, Debbie is charged with the sustenance and expansion of the volunteer spirit within PHA. This includes working with support group leaders and special events volunteers.

 Sophie Klein

Sophie Klein, Volunteer Services Program Associate x758

As Volunteer Services Program Associate, Sophie manages the Support Group Central Fund, providing support groups with funds that they can use for food at meetings. She also manages the mailings of support group meeting reminder cards sent to PHA’s members.

Web Services

Diane Greenhalgh

As Director of Web Services, Diane manages the PHA website and web services. She strives to make PHAssociation.org a more effective tool for PH patients, families, and medical professionals to connect and share resources. Diane spearheaded PHA's website redesign.

Kathryn Frix

Kathryn Frix, Online Community Liaison

As PHA’s Online Community Liaison, Kathryn is working to create a welcoming atmosphere online and a connection between the online community and PHA. She helps our online community connect with PHA resources, get involved in PHA activities, and feel like they are a part of the PHA family. She handles administrative duties for the discussion board, email groups and chats. Each week she locates a resource on the website to feature in "Things I Found on PHA's Website." She also works with the web team to update and maintain PHA's website.
