Rino Aldrighetti

Rino Aldrighetti, President and CEO x741

Rino started with PHA in 1999 as the association’s first part-time staff person, and today, serves as President and CEO. Besides overall management of the association and its 35+ staff members, his responsibilities include planning, program development and fundraising. Rino works closely with PHA's Board of Trustees, its Scientific Leadership Council, Corporate Committee and is involved in many of PHA's planning committees and work groups. Adrienne Dern

Adrienne Dern, Senior Vice President x750

As PHA's Senior Vice President, Adrienne works in several areas. In the patient services area, Adrienne is involved with our Patient Outreach and Services program; Volunteer Services, which works to provide patient support and connection; and with the production of PHA's numerous print publications. Adrienne also supports the team that works with our medical networks, PH Clinicians and Researchers and PH Professional Network, as well as our medical education program. In addition, she works with staff responsible for putting on PHA's biennial International Conferences and Scientific Sessions and a host of other meetings.

Mollie Katz

Mollie Katz, Vice President, Community Engagement x774

Mollie's role is to more closely tie together three departments which all address aspects of PHA's grassroots and public communication – Web Services, Advocacy and Awareness, and Volunteer Services – to enhance the way PHA engages patients and caregivers, as well as medical professionals, in the volunteer spirit upon which the organization was born and built. Mollie will also help these departments strengthen PHA's impact in reaching key audiences with effective messages about PH and the needs of the PH community.

Advocacy and Awareness

Katherine Kroner

Katherine Kroner, Director of Advocacy and Awareness x749

As PHA’s Director of Advocacy and Awareness, Katie coordinates PH Awareness Month in November, the Congressional Luncheon and the PH Professional Network Lobby Day. She is also the first point of contact for reporters seeking to cover PH or PHA in the news media.

Margaret Beardsworth

Margaret Beardsworth, Insurance Program Manager x773

Insurance Program Manager Margaret Beardsworth serves as PHA's insurance advocate. She is the first point of contact for questions and comments about the insurance portion of PHA's website. In addition, she gathers patients' stories about their insurance challenges in order to help shape PHA's insurance policy agenda. Finally, Margaret works closely with PHA's medical and corporate partners in efforts to raise awareness about PH among insurance payors.

Elisabeth Williams

Elisabeth Williams, Grassroots Campaigns Associate x753

As Grassroots Campaigns Associate, Elisabeth works to build volunteer membership in the 435 Campaign (legislative advocacy) PHAware Campaign (media outreach) and support current Campaign members in their communications with their Members of Congress and the media. Elisabeth is available to provide resources, advice and support to anyone interested in PH advocacy or media awareness. Elisabeth also coordinates the collection of PH community stories through Our Journeys.

Development

Bob Gray

Bob Gray, Development Director x767

As PHA's Development Director, Bob is responsible for increasing contributed income benefitting PHA programs by working closely with volunteers and staff to implement techniques such as direct mail, individual and foundation gifts, special events and cause marketing. He also works closely with PHA's Development Committee and President to research and design funding techniques for new PHA programs.

Jessica McKearin

Jessica McKearin, Associate Director of Special Events x765

As PHA’s Associate Director of Special Events, Jessica works closely with volunteers as well as friends and family of PH patients to plan fundraisers across the country. By offering advice, guidance, and materials, Jessica provides volunteer coordinators with support they need to make their event a success. She also creates new special event campaigns, programs and resources, making a variety of special event opportunities available to the PH community.

Ellen Leoni

Ellen Leoni, Development Associate x756

As Development Associate, Ellen works to implement programs that foster support for PHA, its programs, services and research agenda. Ellen coordinates Our Workplace Has a Heart, which features PHA’s myriad of workplace giving programs, and In Honor of Our Lives, PHA’s program to include PH awareness and fundraising in celebration of personal milestones. Ellen is also the contact for the Sustainers Circle, PHA’s monthly giving program. In conjunction with the other members of the development team, Ellen answers donor and membership inquires.

Leslie Mahaney

Leslie Mahaney, Special Events Associate x742

As Special Events Associate, Leslie provides PHA’s veteran volunteer event planners with the necessary tools and resources to host successful fundraisers. Leslie also works on event planner recognition, administration of PHA’s sponsorship program for special events organizers, and development of the special events quarterly e-newsletter, Event-ful Times.

Finance and Administration

Paul Ravenscroft

Paul Ravenscroft, Director of Finance and HR x751

As PHA's Director of Finance and HR, Paul is responsible for the monthly and annual production of financial statements. Working closely with the President, he coordinates the budgeting process for the organization working with each department within PHA. He also acts as the liaison with the outside auditors.

Jennifer Kaminski

As Associate Director of Finance and HR, Jennifer is responsible for handling accounts payable, managing benefits and human resources administration.

Jessica Ritter

Jessica Ritter, Associate Director, IT and Office Operations x766

As PHA’s Associate Director, IT and Office Operations, Jessica manages all of the information technology needs at PHA. In addition to helping out staff with technology and equipment needs, Jessica is responsible for managing the IT vendor, overseeing the office space, maintenance and purchase of office equipment and administers a variety of internal office procedures.

Keisha Thomas

Keisha Thomas, Associate Director, Database x748

As Associate Director, Database, Keisha is charged with administering PHA’s 30,000+ database. Keisha focuses on overseeing the daily data entry, maintaining the integrity of the information that is stored, and processing gifts and memberships to PHA. Her duties also include oversight of staff training on database usage and developing the database into the staff’s go-to source for information.

Arsene Koissy

As Database Manager, Arsene's duties include processing donations and updating member information in the database.

April Grimsley

April Grimsley, Administrative Assistant x746

As PHA’s Administrative Assistant, April is the first point of contact for members of the PH community. In addition to general office administration, April supports both the Finance and Development departments with processing donations and letters of acknowledgement. She also assists staff with various Web and IT projects.

Tracey Delaney

Tracey Delaney, Office Assistant x769

As a part-time Office Assistant, Tracey helps to process shipments and general mailings, puts materials together for various meetings, acts as back-up receptionist and provides general administrative support to the staff.

Dorothy Bradley

Dorothy is a part-time Office Assistant at PHA. She jumps in to help with many mailings and other tasks. Dorothy has seen PHA through many of its changes.

Medical Services

Micaela Cohen

Micaela Cohen, MPH, LICSW, Director of Medical Services x770

As Director of Medical Services, Micaela works with PHA’s various professional membership groups to ensure that they have access to all of the resources they need to make progress in the fight against PH. She also coordinates the various educational programs that comprise PHA’s medical education initiative, and assists in coordinating PHA’s research grant opportunities.

Meghan Finney

Meghan Finney, Patient Education Manager x744

As Patient Education Manager, Meghan is responsible for continuing to develop educational resources that provide patients and caregivers with information about pulmonary hypertension and its management. Meghan works to create patient-oriented brochures, website content, webinars, and chats. She continues to assess educational needs within the PH community and assists in the planning of PHA events such as the PHA on the Road program.

Caitlin Flewellen

Caitlin Flewellen, Online Education Associate x771

As PHA’s Online Education Associate, Caitlin develops the PHA Online University as an educational resource for physicians and allied health professionals looking to expand their knowledge about diagnosing PH and caring for their PH patients. She manages both the course creation process and the website homepage. Together with some of the foremost experts in PH around the world, Caitlin strives to make the PHA Online University an engaging and active community for providers that will increase awareness of PH.

Alisa Goldman

Alisa Goldman, Allied Health Program Associate x761

As the Allied Health Program Associate, Alisa is responsible for growing the resources and opportunities for nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physicians assistants, and a host of other medical professionals. She oversees the work of the Pulmonary Hypertension Professional Network to ensure that it best meet the needs of this fast-growing field and the dedicated providers within it. She is particularly excited by the PHPN's important mission to expand the diversity of the PHPN network, and to continue to strengthen its programs and services.
Rebecca Kurikeshu

As Medical Outreach Program Associate, Becky is responsible for promoting membership in PHA’s PH Clinicians and Researchers medical membership network. She also works with PH medical professionals to develop and expand resources that will advance the PH community and their surrounding networks. In addition, she assists in organizing the Scientific Sessions at PHA’s biennial International PH Conference, develops the monthly Research Roundup e-newsletter, and manages PHA’s Research Program.

Meetings and Conference Planning

Doreen Lucadamo

Doreen Lucadamo, Director of Meetings and Conference Planning x779

As Director, Doreen oversees the department responsible for the marketing and logistical planning of PHA’s education events and the organization’s leadership meetings. She is also responsible for the planning of the biennial International PH Conference.

Suzanne Flood

Suzanne Flood, Marketing & Communications Manager x768

As Marketing & Communications Manager, Suzanne oversees the marketing and promotional efforts for a number of PHA events including PHA on the Road, PH Professional Network Symposium and PHA’s biennial International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions. She is also responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the marketing plan for PHA Online University.

Kimberly Demirhan

Kimberly Demirhan, Meeting Planning Associate x763

As a Meeting Planning Associate, Kimberly manages the logistics of the PH Professional Network Symposium and is also responsible for planning aspects of PHA’s International PH Conference including the Scientific Sessions and the Research Room. She is responsible for assisting with the meeting coordination of the PH Professional Network Executive Committee, the Scientific Leadership Council and the Advances in PH Editorial Board meetings that take place biannually. Kimberly also oversees the marketing and communications for the Building Medical Education in PH program.

Carsten Hailey

As a Meetings Planning Associate, Carsten manages the logistics of the PHA on the Road educational forums, as well as the biannual meetings of the Corporate Committee and Board of Trustees. Carsten also serves as the staff liaison for the Scholarship Committee of PHA’s International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions.

Office of the President

Amanda Butts

Amanda Butts, Director, Office of the President x762

As Director of the Office of the President, Amanda works closely with PHA’s President to build and manage the relationships that keep PHA moving forward. Amanda manages PHA’s corporate relations program, including the Corporate Committee, and corporate fundraising, including educational grants, sponsorships, advertisements and exhibits. She also oversees PHA’s work with the Board of Trustees, the International Services Program, the internship program and other projects that are of priority for the organization.

MeghanTammaro

Meghan Tammaro, International Services Manager x760

PHA is pleased to work in connection with associations around the world to serve PH patients, their families, doctors and medical researchers. As the International Services Manager, Meghan facilitates the exchange of reliable information between international PH associations and promotes global awareness of the disease. Her work includes administering and promoting PHA’s international seed grant program, coordinating the translation efforts of PHA’s materials, establishing relationships with PH organizations abroad and engaging the international medical community.

Haley Elmers

As Executive Program Associate, Haley is part of the team that supports the work of PHA's President. Haley serves as the primary liaison to PHA's Board of Trustees, maintains PHA's historical archives, coordinates PHA’s internship program and assists with other projects that are of priority for the President and the organization.

Patient Outreach and Services

Chanda Causer

Chanda Causer, Patient Outreach and Services Manager x777

As the Patient Outreach and Services Manager, Chanda works with members of the PH community to expand programming among special populations of PH patients and caregivers. She builds pathways between these populations and PHA to help identify and prioritize the interests of these groups, and creates resources and services to meet identified needs.

Michal Rachlin

Michal Rachlin, Kerry Bardorf Family Support Program Associate x800

As the Kerry Bardorf Family Support Program Associate, Michal works with caregivers of adult PH patients and families of children with PH. She develops new resources, expands support and educational opportunities for adults, and creates new opportunities for young PH patients to connect with one another.

Publications

Megan Mallory

Megan Mallory, Associate Director, Publications x754

As Associate Director, Publications, Megan serves as PHA's primary writer, editor, and graphic designer for PHA promotional materials and print publications. She also coordinates the production and publication of PHA's newsletters and other print materials.

Ellie Ganelin

Ellie Ganelin, Design and Publications Associate x812

As Design and Publications Associate, Ellie assists in designing, editing and writing PHA’s many print and online publications. She is also the primary contact for Pulmonary Hypertension: A Patient’s Survival Guide, PHA’s resource book for patients and caregivers. Ellie works with volunteer contributors to update and publish the Survival Guide on a yearly basis.

Volunteer Services

Debbie Castro

As PHA's Director of Volunteer Services, Debbie is charged with the sustenance and expansion of the volunteer spirit within PHA. This includes working with support group leaders and special events volunteers.

Sophie Klein

Sophie Klein, Volunteer Services Program Associate x758

As Volunteer Services Program Associate, Sophie manages the Support Group Central Fund, providing support groups with funds that they can use for food at meetings. She also manages the mailings of support group meeting reminder cards sent to PHA’s members.

Web Services

Diane Greenhalgh

Diane Greenhalgh, Director of Web Services x759

As Director of Web Services, Diane manages the PHA website and web services. She directs PHA's efforts to make PHAssociation.org a more effective tool for PH patients, families, and medical professionals to connect and share resources. Diane spearheaded PHA's website redesign.

Kathryn Frix

Kathryn Frix, Online Community Liaison

As PHA’s Online Community Liaison, Kathryn is working to create a welcoming atmosphere online and a connection between the online community and PHA. She helps our online community connect with PHA resources, get involved in PHA activities, and feel like they are a part of the PHA family. She handles administrative duties for the discussion board, email groups and chats. Each month she locates a resource on the website to feature in "Things I Found on PHA's Website." She also works with the web team to update and maintain PHA's website.
