Thanks to the generous spirit of shop managers in Glendale, AZ - over a dozen ladies had a “Shop for Charity” event to benefit PH on March 29, 2006. This event, planned by Marilyn Haney, featured appetizers (provided at no cost) and drinks at the trendy restaurant ‘North’ followed by boutique shopping at the White House/Black Market. This unique shop features fashions strictly in black and white! The evening featured spur of the moment “fashion shows” by many of the participants and plenty of purchases. White House/Black Market store manager, Patty Hernandez hosts these fundraising nights where 10% of the total sales is given to the charity of choice. Over $300 was raised to benefit PHA! Special thanks to Dustin Mellin and his staff at ‘North’, the ladies of White House/Black Market and to all who attended – we appreciate your support! Plans are underway to host another shopping extravaganza this Fall.
