Caregiver Shout-Out!

This Shout-Out goes from pulmonary hypertension patient Patricia Bon to her caregiver and husband, Vic.

Patricia Bon, with her husband and caregiver, Vic.Patricia Bon honors her husband and caregiver, Vic.

Without Vic's determination and encouragement, I would not have made it this far. When I was diagnosed 10 years ago, I was devastated that I had this rare disease. But every day, every moment, year after year, Vic kept pushing me and encouraging me to do the best I can.

With the help of my wonderful doctors and Vic, I have pushed on. It has been a long 10 years with tiresome journeys through the maze of procedures and many doctor visits. They were filled with disappointment with each new finding. But now I take one day at a time, with constant reassurances from my wonderful husband.

Within the last several months, I started to pray that I might survive this disease, and each day I am motivated by Vic to never stop believing.
