Sébastien Bonnet, PhD, is an associate professor with tenure in the faculty of medicine at Laval University in Quebec, Canada. He obtained is PhD in France and received post doctoral training in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Edmonton, Canada. He is the recipient of numerous international awards including the American Heart Association New Investigator Award (Cournand and Comroe) and the Canadian Cardiovascular Society award. He was elected as the best Canadian researcher in December 2010 for his work on PIM-1 and the molecular origin of PH which was recently published in Circulation and Journal of Experimental medicine. Dr. Bonnet holds a Canadian Research chair position, has published close to 40 publications and is the director of the vascular biology research group in Quebec.As PHA’s Special Events Manager, Jessica works closely with friends and family of PH patients to plan fundraisers across the country. She also creates new special event campaigns, programs and resources, making a variety of special event opportunities available to the PH community.
