Holly Gooding, MD, MS is a physician in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) and an Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.  She is board certified in both internal medicine and adolescent medicine. She and Dr. Mary Mullen, a cardiologist and pulmonary hypertension expert,  recently launched the BCH Pulmonary Hypertension Young Women's Health Program to provide comprehensive care to teens and young adults with PH during the transition to young adulthood.

Carson was 16 and recognized as an athlete when she was diagnosed with PH secondary to pulmonary veno-occlusive disease in 2002 and added to the lung transplant waiting list. Carson has completed a BA in anthropology, a Masters in Public Administration and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health from Washington University in St Louis.  

Mary Mullen, MD, PhD 

Mary Mullen, MD, PhD

Dr. Mullen is the associate director of the Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Service at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. At Children's Hospital in the Department of Cardiology she is an associate physician in the Division of Cardiovascular Intensive Care and the Boston Adult Congenital Heart Service. Dr. Mullen’s research interests include clinical care and innovative treatments for pediatric pulmonary hypertension, and quality of life for children with pulmonary hypertension. She is an officer of the Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Network and a member of the American Heart Association/ American Thoracic Organization Expert Guidelines Writing Group on Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension.
