Creativity as a Coping Tool

Medical research shows that participating in a creative outlet - whether it be writing, painting, photography, etc. - can lead to improved physical, mental and emotional health. View this webinar to learn more about the benefits that creative endeavors can bring to your physical and mental wellbeing as caregivers. This webinar included open time for attendees to ask questions and share their own creative outlets with the group.

Nancy Leaman

Caregiver for her mother Linda since 2007, Nancy Leaman holds two bachelor's degrees from Southern Connecticut State University, one in Information and Library Science, the other in English. Currently, she is pursuing a Master's degree in English in preparation to become a university professor. She finds catharsis through all aspects of writing: the creative, analytical, philosophical and instructional.

Christina Doak

Christina is the caregiver for her 13-year-old daughter Katy, who has been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension for almost nine years. Several years ago she renewed an interest in photography.
