As PHA's Grassroots Campaigns Associate, Elisabeth works to build volunteer membership in the 435 Campaign (legislative advocacy) PHAware Campaign (media outreach) and support current Campaign members in their communications with their Members of Congress and the media. Elisabeth is available to provide resources, advice and support to anyone interested in PH advocacy or media awareness. Elisabeth also coordinates the collection of PH community stories through Our Journeys.

Jeff White has over 20 years of communications and marketing experience. Over the years, he has managed national consumer awareness campaigns, directed national campaigns, developed a model grassroots neighborhood HIV/AIDS education intervention program and served as project manager for a general public and health care provider education effort about viral hepatitis.

Hillarie B. Turner has 15 years of practice in association communications and media relations. In her experience she oversaw consumer websites and social media networks and developed a health blog for consumers. She also conducted media relations outreach for print and broadcast media and managed video and broadcast projects to help expand the association’s public outreach efforts. She has led media training workshops for members, developed media strategies and managed press conferences for national scientific meetings and educational programs.
