Palliative Care: What Is It and How Can It Help?

The goal of this session is to discuss what palliative medicine is and how it fits into the care of PH patients. An overview of how palliative care is provided and some background will be included. Specific focus will be on symptom management options, how palliative care differs from (but can include) hospice, and how utilizing palliative care can be a lifeaffirming choice to promote quality of life.
