Exercise and PH: The Risks and the Benefits

ShannonJoin PH Professional Network's (formerly PH Resource Network) Barbara Smithson, RN, MSN, for a presentation on how exercise affects the body and the specific limitations that go hand in hand with having PH. Barbara discusses the risks and benefits associated with exercise by highlighting a research study that measured the effects of exercise in PH patients. Barbara answered participants' questions following her presentation.

Barbara Smithson, RN, MSNBarbara Smithson, RN, MSN
Barbara is the Research Nurse Coordinator at the Pulmonary Hypertension Center at Rhode Island Hospital. She has been a research nurse coordinator for the PH Clinic since 2003. She received her nursing degree in 1977 and graduate degree in 2009. She currently is a speaker for many groups on PH.
