Join Dr. Virginia Steen, Professor of Medicine and Rheumatology Fellowship Director at Georgetown University Medical Center, as she discusses the risk factors for the various types of PH that can occur in scleroderma, the differences between the diagnosis and management of PH and scleroderma compared to other diseases and how scleroderma manifestations affect the treatment of PH.

Virginia D. Steen, MD

Virginia D. Steen, MD, is a Professor of Medicine with Tenure and the Rheumatology Fellowship Director at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Steen received her MD from the University of Pittsburgh, did her residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Pittsburgh where she was on faculty before coming to Georgetown in 1995. She is a member of the PHA’s Scientific Leadership Council and is the PHA Online University rheumatology chairperson. She has been contributing to the PHA International Conference for the past ten years.
