This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will compare the efficacy and safety of ambrisentan / sildenafil combination therapy to sildenafil monotherapy in subjects with PAH who have demonstrated a sub-optimal response to sildenafil monotherapy.
The primary objective of this study is to compare the change in pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR), and other hemodynamic parameters, following the addition of ambrisentan or placebo to background sildenafil therapy in subjects with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) who have demonstrated a sub-optimal response to sildenafil monotherapy.
