On behalf of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, we are excited to invite you to PHA’s 8th International PH Conference -- A Journey of Hope and Discovery -- being held at the Hilton Americas in Houston, Texas, on June 20-22, 2008.

Convening once every two years, PHA’s International Conference and Scientific Sessions, the largest PH meeting in the world, draws a mix of patients, caregivers, medical professionals and industry representatives. You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to gather for three days of lively discussions, connect with others in the PH community, and participate in diverse educational sessions covering the latest advances in PH research and treatment.

The 2008 Conference schedule includes:

Over 40 medically led sessions for patients and family members -- including several in Spanish
Patient/family-led sessions and support group meetings
Scientific Sessions for health care professionals– including abstract presentations and poster viewing
Meetings and special sessions for international attendees
“Living with a Pump” fashion show
Vendor exhibit area

The first PHA International Conference was held in 1994, with a little over 100 people in attendance. In 2006, 1,100 people from 22 nations attended, and in 2008, we expect over 1,200 to attend. Over the years, PHA has grown in size and scope, but we hold true to the same mission and same passion: to find ways to prevent and cure pulmonary hypertension, and to provide hope for the pulmonary hypertension community through support, education, advocacy, awareness and research. The theme of the 2008 Conference -- A Journey of Hope and Discovery -- reflects the phenomenal progress the PH community has made in medical research and education, grassroots advocacy and patient support, while continuing our momentum toward the ultimate goal -- finding a cure.
