Julie Hendry Memorial Scholarship Award

Patients' Conference Scholarship Program.
About the Scholarship:
The Julie Hendry Memorial Scholarship Award will be granted again in 2006 to a non-patient who would like to come to PHA's Seventh International PH Conference in Minneapolis, June 23-25, 2006. The award will be presented to a non-patient who is a member of and actively supports PHA, e.g., Support Group leadership, PHA Awareness, fund raising, etc. The award is to be used for Conference registration and transportation and is not to exceed $1,000. Professionals employed in the care of PH patients are not eligible to apply.
Julie Paton Hendry, daughter of PHA founding members Pat and Jerry Paton, was the first full time non-patient PHA volunteer. She looked forward to meeting at Conference the PH patients/families who she talked with per telephone or email. Sadly, Julie died in June, 1998. In her memory, her family established the Julie Hendry Memorial Scholarship Award to help other non-patient volunteers attend Conference.
