How can I become a PH Filmmaker?
Thanks to assistance from the Flip Video Spotlight program, PHA has acquired 30 Flip Video Ultra camcorders. These cameras are super-portable and easy to use. Each camera is slightly larger than a deck of cards and has only eight buttons!
If you’re planning on attending Conference this year, you can apply to become a PH filmmaker by filling out the application.
If you’re selected to become a filmmaker, you will be contacted by PHA with a guide that includes information on how to use the cameras, tips on conducting interviews and instructions for meeting with the people who want to share their stories. When you get to Conference, we’ll give you your video camera and suggested assignments. Then, it will be up to you to meet with fellow PHers for pre-arranged and spontaneous interviews. And if you ever need help or advice, a PHA staff person or Conference volunteer will be available to help you.
Are you feeling up to the challenge? Then Apply! Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, but all applications must be received by May 30. We will contact all applicants by June 2. |

I want to be interviewed for Video Journeys. What should I do?
To make the Video Journeys a success, we need you to share your Journey on camera at Conference. It’ll be quick and easy, and you’ll be a pioneer of a completely new approach to Our Journeys!
There are several ways to make sure that you’ll be seen and heard at Conference. First, you can fill out an interview form. We’ll use this information to put you in contact with a PH filmmaker so that you can arrange a time to meet and conduct your interview. We will be accepting this information until May 30.
If you don’t fill out an application now, you can visit the Journeys Café at Conference and sign up for an interview at a pre-arranged time and place. And be sure to be on the lookout for PH Filmmakers at events and workshops. They may just want to interview you! |
