      National Alliance for Caregiving
      The National Alliance for Caregiving is dedicated to providing support to family caregivers and the professionals who help them and to increasing public awareness of issues facing family caregivers.

      Family Caregiver Alliance
      Founded in 1977, Family Caregiver Alliance was the first community-based nonprofit organization in the country to address the needs of families and friends providing long-term care at home. FCA now offers programs at national, state and local levels to support and sustain caregivers.

      A Comprehensive, helpful resource in nine parts including checklists for the care-receiver and caregiver, common problems, available help, caring for the caregiver, keeping medical records, etc. The section on caring for the caregiver includes a caregiver's stress test and self-rating scale, practical advice to preserve your own well-being, and a "Caregiver's Bill of Rights."

      Family Voices
      Aimed at families and friends of children with special health care needs. A nonprofit group, their site has useful links (some in Spanish), information on government programs, etc.

      Well Spouse Association
      "An Association of Spousal Caregivers"
      Nonprofit and national in scope, they offer support groups, a newsletter, letter writing "round robins" to break the bonds of isolation, and books on caregiving.

      Medicare Interactive Counselor
      A tool provided by the Medicare Rights Center, Medicare Interactive (MI) Counselor is a dynamic, independent online resource of free information that helps older adults and people with disabilities navigate the complex world of health insurance.
      The “Medical Advice for Caregivers” section provides caregiver information specific to the Medicare program, general information for caregivers and links to other caregiver resources.
