LungsFifteen-year-old Cullen Steele is fighting his way to recovery after receiving a heart and double lung transplant due to PH. Despite a minor rejection to the transplant, Cullen is keeping his spirits up; he takes classes at the hospital and keeps busy with books. Read more about Cullen's journey to recovery

 

The Mom No One Knew was Sick

Nicole DempseyNicole Dempsey, like many PH patients, did not realize how sick she was when her symptoms started. As a school teacher and mother of two it seemed normal for her to be tired and out of breath. Now that Nicole knows her disease, she is determined to fight it. Encouraging Others to Donate More than Money

Carla Bussell

During PH Awareness Month, there are many fundraisers, but Carla Bussell used her PH story to encourage people to give something even more precious than funds - life. As Carla waits for new lungs, she encouraged her community to attend the “Be a Hero at the Big House” event where they were able to sign up to be an organ donor, be screened for bone marrow donation and give blood.
