Discussion Board

Welcome to PHA's popular discussion board, formerly called message boards, where you can share information and support with other PHers and you're sure to make some true PHriends. The discussion board allows you to post and read messages online.

Please review our Netiquette/Terms of Use and Privacy Policy before using the discussion board.

Notice Concerning Changes to Discussion Boards, Jan. 2010

We will continue to use the same discussion board tool for the moment. This means you will continue to use the same login information as you have in the past. We hope to move to our website vendor’s tool once they roll out some changes that are necessary for our community’s privacy.

The following changes occurred to the boards for the launch of our new site.
  1. We moved to having just one main board
Over time we have found that most PHers gravitated to the main discussion board leaving people who post in the other boards without people to talk to and answer their questions. The main discussion board has continued as it has in the past.
  2. Special Interest Boards moved to Email Groups
To enable PHers with an interest in certain topics, such as parents of children with PH, to stay better connected, we have moved all the special interest boards to email groups. There are options to get daily digests or even check the messages online if you prefer. We also added some new groups so you’ll want to check them out. Archives of these boards are available for reading. Sign-up for Email Groups
  3. Introductions, Stories and Passages
On the former boards we had a board for you to archive your stories about yourself, whether it be as an introduction or later when you got to know everyone better. We also had a board to archive your tributes and stories about PHers who have passed on. We have a long-standing program for PH community stories about your journey with PH and to pay tribute to those who have passed called Our Journeys. We welcome you to send us your stories through the Our Journeys portion of the PH Community so everyone can share in them. Archives of these boards will be available for reading. Visit Our Journeys
  4. Your login for the board will not necessarily be the same as your PHA website login
Our new PHA website allows you to update your contact information and access targeted information if you are signed in. This login information is separate from your current discussion board login. However, in the future we will use a new discussion board that is part of the new website system, and then you will use your website login to access the new discussion board. The sooner you submit your PHA website registration, the better the chance your desired user name will still be available. We share our server with other organizations so you may need to change your username if yours is already being used (when you submit your registration, you will be asked to change it if the user name is already taken). To register for your PHA website login, just click on the Sign In link at the top of this page, then click the link to register as a new user. Feel free to register with the same user name and password that you use now to access our discussion board (password requires at least 6 characters). If you need assistance or have questions, please contact us at PHA@PHAssociation.org.
