Priority Healthcare Selected as a Provider of Ventavis

LAKE MARY, Fla., February 22, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Priority Healthcare Corporation announced that it has been selected by CoTherix, Inc. to be a full-service specialty pharmacy provider of Ventavis(TM) (iloprost) Inhalation Solution. The Food and Drug Administration approved Ventavis(TM) on December 29, 2004 for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (World Health Organization Group I) or PAH, in patients with NYHA Class III or IV symptoms.

Nun who changed Catholic texts is subject of Oscar-nominated film

Thering suffers from diabetes and pulmonary hypertension and is largely confined to a wheelchair. Still, she attended the Tribeca Film Festival last spring _ where the film won for Best Documentary Short and she met Robert De Niro, among others _ and earlier this month she flew to Los Angeles to attend the Oscar nominees' luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

PH Drugmaker to Seek FDA Approval

People with pulmonary hypertension may soon have a new medication at their disposal, if the government gives the drug its endorsement. The manufacturer of the experimental oral medication says it plans to seek approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market sitaxsentan, also known by its marketing brand, ThelinR.

Raynaud's awareness meeting

The annual awareness conference of the Irish Raynaud's and Scleroderma Society will be held on Saturday April 23 in the Stillorgan Park Hotel, Co. Dublin from 10 am to 4pm.

Presentations will be given by top professionals on topics such as new ways of managing Raynaud's, dental protection, nutrition, pulmonary hypertension and caring for digital ulcers.
