'Change law on organ donation'

Debbie Storey, whose 15-year-old daughter Natasha urgently needs a heart and lung transplant, has joined calls for Britain to adopt a system of presumed consent, allowing doctors to use organs unless asked not to.

At present, doctors must get permission before an organ can be used for transplant surgery. And even if someone carries an organ donor card, relatives can veto their loved one's request and stop a transplant going ahead.

United Therapeutics Announces Approval of Remodulin(R) in France

TRIANGLE--FirstCall/ -- United Therapeutics Corporation (NASDAQ:UTHR) announced today that AFSSAPS, the French drug regulatory agency, has issued an approval letter for Remodulin (treprostinil sodium) Injection for subcutaneous treatment of NYHA Class III Primary Pulmonary Hypertension patients. The approval letter did not request any additional clinical trials of subcutaneous Remodulin. AFSSAPS has indicated that the mutual recognition approval process with other countries in the European Union will be initiated in May 2005.
