Kipp Palmer Memorial Golf Tournament (PA)

On July 4, 1999 our good friend Kipp Palmer passed away from complications due to Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. Not only was Kipp a great golfer, but he was a fighter who, in the end, couldn't prevail over PPH. Help us remember Kipp on June 24th while contributing to the good cause of PPH cure research.

Encysive Pharmaceuticals Announces New STRIDE-2 Data Presented at American Thoracic Society International Conference

HOUSTON, May 23, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Encysive Pharmaceuticals today presented additional data from STRIDE-2, the Company's second randomized, pivotal Phase III clinical trial of Thelin(TM) (sitaxsentan) for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) at the annual International Conference of the American Thoracic Society (ATS) in San Diego. The data was presented in an oral session by Robyn J. Barst, M.D., Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Director, New York Presbyterian Hospital Pulmonary Hypertension Center.

Researchers Present Data That Support Inhaled Iloprost Therapy in Patients With Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

SAN DIEGO, Calif., May 23, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CoTherix, Inc. announced today that researchers have presented results involving inhaled iloprost therapy for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a debilitating and potentially fatal disease characterized by high blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries. FORT COLLINS - A Fort Collins biotechnology company, best known for its work on veterinary pharmaceuticals, has made the leap into human medicine.

PR Pharmaceuticals recently obtained orphan drug status from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for PulmoLAR, a drug the company is developing for treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
