Israeli
Ministry of Health approves intravenous Remodulin
SILVER SPRING, Md. and RESEARCH TRIANGLE
PARK, N.C. -- United Therapeutics Corporation (Nasdaq:
UTHR) announced that the Drug Registration Department
of the Israeli Ministry of Health has expanded the
label of Remodulin(R) (treprostinil sodium) Injection
to include intravenous infusion for the treatment
of primary pulmonary arterial hypertension and pulmonary
arterial hypertension associated with connective tissue
disorders.

Encysive Pharmaceuticals Initiates Dose Ranging Study of TBC3711
HOUSTON, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Encysive Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ENCY) today announced the initiation of enrollment in a dose ranging study of TBC3711, the Company's next-generation, highly selective endothelin receptor antagonist. The 12-week, multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will evaluate four once-daily, oral doses of TBC3711 in approximately 150 patients with resistant hypertension.
