Whether you're interested in sharing your story with a reporter, writing letters to your friends and family, contacting your Members of Congress about the PH Research Act, or organizing a blue jeans day at work - we have the resources to get you started. Even if you're thing is hosting a large special event, we make the process easy.
Surge in PHA Special Events Makes This the Hottest Year for Fundraising for PHA and a Cure!
Families and patients across the nation are making a difference and stepping up their involvement in PHA fundraisers. We have a special event scheduled to take place every weekend, from early September through the tail end of PHA's Awareness Month in November! This is our busiest time of year, but this year is our most active for special events! We have 14 special event fundraisers, from galas to fun walks, taking place all across the country during this fall season!
Lung Patients See a New Era of Transplants
A quiet revolution in the world of lung transplants is saving the lives of people who, just two years ago, would have died on the waiting list. In the past 16 months, waits have shortened, lists have shrunk, and the number of lung transplants has gone up. Further improvements are expected this year. Read article
Low-Dose Exercise Beneficial for Pulmonary Hypertension Patients
While Pulmonary Hypertension(PH) restricts physical capacity, lowers quality of life and has a poor prognosis, a new research reported in Circulation Journal of the American Heart Association, suggests that appropriate amounts of exercise offer psychological and physical benefits for patients suffering from it. Protein Behind Heart Failure, Erectile Dysfunction Identified
Scientists at the Texas A&M Health Science Center Institute of Biosciences and Technology at Houston have discovered what causes the slow death of heart cells to occur, thus leading to heart failure. Read article
