Congressman Tom Lantos (Calif.), 1928-2008
All of us at PHA are saddened by the loss of Congressman Tom Lantos who has been a great friend to the PH community. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life that is a victory. Tom emerged from the Holocaust to lead the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the U.S. House of Representatives and in the midst of a busy schedule, partnered with Representative Kevin Brady to lead the fight in Congress for support of pulmonary hypertension research and education. We will miss a staunch ally and a true friend.

Since that time her condition had progressed, making a heart and lung transplant her only hope for survival.
Information on Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Saves Lives
(Northern News) -- DEAR DR. GOTT: Recently you had a column regarding a gentleman who described breathlessness, exercise intolerance and faintness. I had these exact symptoms before I was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
