| 435 CAMPAIGN DISTRICT VISITS LEAD TO CO-SPONSORSHIP OF PH BILL |
|
The Tom Lantos PH Research and Education Act was introduced just two weeks ago and already has four co-sponsors in addition to Kevin Brady (R-TX) and Lois Capps (D-CA) ( pictured left) who introduced the bill.
Representatives James McGovern of Massachusetts, Jay Inslee of Washington, and Christopher Shays and Christopher Murphy both of Connecticut co-sponsored the bill within days of its introduction.
Several of the new co-sponsors have ongoing relationships with their constituents, who are members of PHA's grassroots advocacy network, the 435 Campaign. Campaign members have been out making face-to-face visits with their representatives and several have even spoken with their senators about introducing a companion bill.
The Tom Lantos PH Research and Education Act is gaining momentum, but we need YOUR help to take it to the next step. Be heard this election season - take action today!
