This all really began about five years ago when I started feeling drained of energy more and more as time passed. I had been addicted to methamphetamine since age 16 and thought I had it under control as a functional addict. Then, even the meth didn’t give me energy. So over the past five years I had been in and out of emergency room (E.R.) and denied real help because I always tested positive for methamphetamine and doctors had no sympathy, understandably. Finally, this past January, I went to E.R. with a rash all over me, shortness of breath, chest pain, high pressure, etc. I ended up staying 12 days and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure and a massively enlarged heart. I am due for a right-heart catheterization in two months.
