Hi, I'm Katy. I was married in October of 2003. I was diagnosed with PPH in November of 2003. This totally devastated me. I was ready to take on a new life with my husband and start a family, when that came to a halt. The hard part was telling my family.

My in-laws—God love them—have been supportive and understanding. My family....well my father has a hard time with it, but he is supportive. Of course, he has been battling cancer for as long as I have been battling PH.

Sometimes I have good days, mentally, and sometimes I have bad days. The good days happen more often than the bad days lately. It has been four years since diagnosis, and I am now on Remodulin. So far, I have been in decent health. I still work, so I have stayed busy. My husband has been my biggest supporter in this. He turned me on to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association to show me that I am not alone in this. Well this is my story. I would like to help in any way. Thank you.
