(PHCR) is the professional membership section for physicians and
researchers within PHA.

PHA’s website attracts
over 270,000 visitors per month. Members of PHCR can be listed
in the Find a Doctor section with responses to a survey describing their PH practice.
Your membership also supports a medical resources
section that includes Consensus Statements drafted and approved by PHA’s
Scientific Leadership Council.
Corporate PHCR Membership
PHCR also offers a corporate membership for physicians and researchers working in industry. Corporate PHCR members receive a complimentary copy of the Patient’s Survival Guide, a subscription to the medical journal, educational material discounts and general membership in PHA, connecting them to the PH community. |
PHCR members will be placed on the mailing list
for Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension, guaranteeing
that you will receive this publication quarterly. This is the
only medical journal dedicated to pulmonary hypertension and features
thought leaders in PH research and treatment.
PHCR members are provided with a free subscription
to the PHCR listserv. This e-mail list offers the opportunity
for peer-to-peer education and information-sharing.
PHA produces Pulmonary Hypertension: A Patients
Survival Guide. In over 200 pages, this patient-written,
medically reviewed publication presents a comprehensive and easy-to-understand
look at the illness and living with it. A wonderful resource for
patients and families, Each member of PHCR receives one copy at
no charge. Additional copies are available at discount for PHA
members.
PHA’s member-only International Pulmonary
Hypertension Conferences are unique in the field, involving and
educating patients and family members as well as medical professionals.
The Scientific Sessions Program and Medical Sessions are led by world class
PH researchers and clinicians. PHCR members are offered a $100
discount on the physician rate.
From NIH funding to transplantation issues, PHA
presents an active voice on issues affecting
pulmonary
hypertension, maintaining contact with
NHLBI, CDC and the Department of Health
and Human
Services.
As a member of PHCR, you receive a complimentary general PHA membership. This membership provides access to important services such as educational brochures, CD-ROMs, newsletters, e-mail updates (PHANews) and other informational and awareness building materials.
