Bringing together nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, respiratory therapists and social workers from across the globe, the 2013 PH Professional Network (PHPN) Symposium offers three days of education and peer-to-peer networking for the international pulmonary hypertension healthcare professional community. This unique and vibrant biennial event drew more than 460 participants in 2011, and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) anticipates another memorable PH Professional Network Symposium in 2013.

For the 2013 Symposium, PHA celebrates the PH Professional Network’s work over the past decade. The Symposium’s theme, “The Power of Teamwork: 10 Years of Professional Collaboration in PAH,” speaks to the partnerships, research and commitment to patient care that make the PH Professional Network an important driver of the PH community.

The Symposium kicks off with an “Advocacy Day” on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, where participants can educate their Representatives and Senators about pulmonary hypertension (PH) and ask for legislative action to support medical research for the disease. The Symposium officially begins on Thursday evening, when the doors to the exhibit hall open and attendees go to their first plenary session, a welcome dinner. Programming continues throughout Friday and Saturday with educational sessions, research poster viewings and numerous opportunities for networking with new colleagues in the PH field.
