Beakers in a labPHA provides grants to promising researchers in the field of pulmonary hypertension. The program fosters new leaders in the field by supporting their interest in PH research and providing them with opportunities to work with mentors and learn new skills. Researchers supported by PHA are looking for new methods for early detection, new treatments to prevent the onset of PH and ultimately a cure for this terrible illness.

PHA offers three independently reviewed cutting-edge research programs each year:

PHA/NHLBI Mentored Clinical Scientist Award (K08)/Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development Award (K23)
A partnership with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) that supports junior investigators

PHA/ATS/Pfizer Research Fellowship in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
A partnership grant program with the American Thoracic Society and Pfizer supporting faculty-level researchers

PHA/AHA Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Award
A partnership with the American Heart Association that supports post doctoral Fellows
