Pediatric Research PSA Script -- TV (Use When Calling/Emailing Television Stations)

Good [MORNING/AFTERNOON/EVENING],

My name is [INSERT NAME]. I am writing/calling to see if you can put me in touch with the person who would approve the airing of a Pediatric Research PSA on your station.

[I HAVE/MY SON HAS/MY DAUGHTER HAS/ MY HUSBAND HAS/MY WIFE HAS/MY MOTHER HAS/MY FATHER HAS] pulmonary hypertension. PH is a serious, life-threatening lung disease with no cure, and [MY/MY SON/MY DAUGHTER/MY HUSBAND/MY WIFE/MY MOTHER/MY FATHER]’s diagnosis has changed my family’s lives profoundly.

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) recently sent you several PSAs and Traffic Instructions through the Extreme Reach delivery service. The PSAs were delivered to your EXTREME REACH PSA Folder on April 25, 2014 as part of a 4,000 TV Station Blast, so they already reside in your station’s account. I’d like to ask you to play Extreme Reach file number [FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE PSA=PHPH3014/FOR SPANISH LANGUAGE PSA=PHPE3014H] because I want to raise PH awareness in my area and educate your viewers about PH symptoms and the importance of pediatric research.

As someone in your local area directly affected by this disease, I’d also like to offer you my personal story. Your listeners might find it interesting to connect these PSAs with a local face, and I’m happy to share my experiences in an interview or news story.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,[INSERT YOUR NAME]

--The Pulmonary Hypertension Association’s public service announcements are currently being shown and heard across FOX Networks Group, Fox Hispanic Networks, CBS Network, Radio Disney, MGM Network, MyNetwork TV, Universal Sports Net, RLTV, Univision, Telemundo, Warner Bros. Records and NBC, which equates to more than 550 Million households. Help me educate our community about pulmonary hypertension by playing these PSAs on your station.
