The best piece of advice Carol has to offer first-time fundraising event organizers: Start early. There are so many steps in organizing an event and they must be addressed one by one to bring it to fruition. Since most of us have other responsibilities. it takes a lot of help, time and thought to accomplish this. On the day of, I love meeting and talking with attendees; it is one of the things I enjoy most about special events.
