Team PHenomenal Hope

Members of the 2014 Race Across America (RAAM; “Team PHenomenal Hope” are all smiles at the inaugural Pittsburgh Walking PHor a Cure on Sept. 9. The team, led by Dr. Patricia George (second from left), a lung transplant physician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Comprehensive PH Clinic, partnered with the local support group to raise about $8,000 for PH research and patient-serving programs at PHA. Approximately 90 attended.

In her own words

As walk attendee and PH patient Deanna M. explains, “[My husband and I] were so happy to see so many patients, families and healthcare workers walking to support this disease and raising money for PH education and research. We were pleased to be a part of it and [are] looking forward to next year!”
