Highlights of Tom Lantos' Contributions to the Fight for the Cure

Lantos at 2007 PHA PH Resource Network Lobby DayOn this page, you’ll see some of the highlights of Tom Lantos’ involvement with the PH community, beginning shortly after the diagnosis of his granddaughter Charity. However, nothing says more about the impact of Congressman Lantos’ work throughout the years than the 80 cards and e-mails expressing well wishes to Tom and his family that PHA delivered earlier this month.

“I would like to thank you for all you have done for the PH community,” said one PH patient. “I was diagnosed with PPH in 1997…at that time, I read up on the disease and expected only to have two or three years to live.  hanks to people like you and the efforts of PHA, I am an eleven year survivor. You have lit the way for future progress, not only for myself, but for others that come behind me.”
