John Berger, MD, serves as Director, Cardiac Intensive Care and Director, Pulmonary Hypertension Program in the Divisions of Critical Care Medicine and Cardiology at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University.

Lorenzo Washington, 11, lives in Fort Washington, Maryland with his father Peter, his mother and two older siblings. Born without a gallbladder and diagnosed with PAH at the age of 7, Lorenzo’s strong character and effective gastrointestinal and PAH therapies have helped him develop into an active, inquisitive 5th grader.
