Things I Found on PHA's Website
2009 PH Resource Network Symposium
This week I can't take credit for searching and finding, it was staring me right in the face when I went to the PHA home page. But I wanted to 'find' this anyway, since not all of us view the PHA home page on a regular basis.
First, I discovered that May 6 - May 12 is National Nurses Week! That bit of information is a bonus. The item I am featuring is the 2009 PH Resource Network Symposium. As patients, you can encourage your PH health professionals to attend. This is for any non-physician medical professional working in the field of PH, such as nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, technicians and other allied health care professionals.
Registration is now open for the September 24 – 26, 2009 Event. From the website: "At the 2009 PHRN Symposium you will discover new information to help you in leading progress, whether you are just coming onboard or have been in the PH field for years." There is much more information on the Symposium website. I encourage you to take a look, and to ask your health care professionals to view it as well.
Thanks to an unrestricted educational grant from Actelion Pharmaceuticals US Inc., the first 300 PH-treating allied health professionals will register for FREE!
A huge thank you to the Symposium sponsors: Actelion, Pfizer, Gilead, United Therapeutics, Accredo and Lung Rx.

I welcome suggestions! Please send them to me at pha@PHAssociation.org. If you have a particular interest or need for info on any PH-related topic, please suggest it to me and I'll locate the resources on the site. If I can't locate information for your topic, I'll know what to suggest for additions to the website. If you have found something on the website to be particularly helpful please suggest that as well.
