Things I Found on PHA's Website
A Hodgepodge of Good Ideas Suggested by Other Patients
For the past 10 days I have been caring for my mom and helping to make her house user-friendly. She is nearly 90 and is recovering from a fall. She has lived in this house for so long, things are set up for a younger and more mobile person. Now with her walker, things need to change.
There are many tasks and things in the house and yard that need modification. So many of these ideas seem obvious when we finally think of them or someone suggests them. With that in mind, I went looking for tips and ideas to make daily life a little easier for PH patients and caregivers. I found "A Hodgepodge of Good Ideas Suggested by Other Patients," an excerpt from PHA’s popular "Pulmonary Hypertension: A Patient's Survival Guide." Just what I was looking for!
There are some great tips on that page, but I know you have all devised more ways to make tasks easier in daily life, and this week I am asking you to share those tips. This page needs more ideas. I would love to receive an avalanche of ideas! Send in anything you have devised for making it a little easier to get through life with PH. Don't worry about what category they might fit into, just write down your ideas and send them to me at Kathryn@PHAssociation.org.
The ideas will be compiled and edited, duplicates merged as needed, and they will need to pass a medical review. You can be sure that the tips that appear on the page will be sound advice for all of us in the PH community.
Please send any and all tips - there is no tip too trivial, common or small - to me at Kathryn@PHAssociation.org. There is no time limit on this, send tips to me any time, and help us help the entire PH Community make life just a little bit easier.
