Building Medical Education in PH
Since 2007 the Building Medical Education in PH program, a partnership program between the Pulmonary Hypertension Association and PH centers across the country, has grown from seven to eleven successful events aimed at enhancing continuing education in the medical community. As an exclusive benefit for PHCR and PH Resource Network members and their affiliate PH centers, the Building Medical Education in PH program helps promote continuing education events, while increasing awareness of the diverse programs offered by PHA. With strong name recognition, internationally accepted credibility and extensive connections in the pulmonary hypertension community, PHA can help expand the effectiveness of your programs by helping to reach target audiences through online and print promotion.
Building Medical Education in PH partners include: Cleveland Clinic; Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center; Department of Pediatrics, UC – San Francisco; Doctor’s Hospital of Sarasota; North Shore University Hospital; The Ohio Heart & Vascular Center and the Lindner Center; Tufts Medical Center; University Hospitals Case Medical Center and Yale School of Medicine.
Benefits of the Building Medical Education in PH Program:
Credibility
- PHA is an internationally recognized and respected organization within the PH medical community reaching over 68 countries and a network of over 1,000 medical professionals. As part of the Building Medical Education in PH program, a PHA promotional package including PHA logo, PHA program language and usage guidelines are required for inclusion on all promotional materials including signage, registration materials, brochures and online outlets.
- PHA can provide a representative, if available, to host a PHA booth or speak at your session about the mission of PHA and its medical education programs. In all cases, PHA will provide your event with appropriate PHA educational materials including Symposium and Conference DVD’s, CME brochures, PH Resource Network brochures, PH Clinicians and Researchers brochures, Specialty Population flyers, PH Survival Guides and Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension Journals to further enhance your event.
Contacts
- PHA will provide your organization with a targeted mailing list of primary care physicians, nurses, cardiologists, pulmonologist, and rheumatologists in your regional area, saving you time and money with a targeted marketing approach for maximum outreach and success.
- PHA will promote your event through our physician and nurse listservs, through PHA News (circulation 6,500), Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension, PHA’s quarterly medical journal (circulation 38,000) and via our online Medical Calendar (390,000 visitors per month).
Continuing Education
- PHA provides the opportunity for post-event discussion, follow-up events and a venue for sharing session content through our website and online communication tools.
- In Summer 2009 PHA will launch its new PHA Online University, a continuing education tool for medical professionals. This site will feature additional opportunities for attendees to learn, continue meaningful discussions and create an ongoing integrated Continuing Education program with PHA and the Building Medical Education in PH program.
