PHA serves as the hub for information-sharing worldwide

Current Projects

Building an Effective PH Association Guide
The Building an Effective PH Association guide has been designed with 10 stories and 10 sets of tips to provide general information about starting your own PH association around the world. Each story, written by the founder or co-founder of 10 international PH associations, details some of the struggles encountered by up-and-coming organizations and provides inspiration to those thinking about creating their own. The stories are followed by a set of helpful tips that can set a new PH association on the right track. The guide is currently in review, and should be available in print and online in Spring 2009.

Peer conferencing
With the number of PH associations around the world becoming larger and more established, PHA of the United States is working to alter our relationship from mentor to peer. PHA and its partner organizations abroad can mutually benefit from an exchange of best practices through face-to-face meetings, internet teleconferencing, and webinars. In the coming year, PHA hopes to establish a number of peer exchanges to enrich the experiences of all involved associations.

Ongoing translation project
One of PHA’s highest priorities is to make available it’s most valuable tools in a number of languages. Through this ongoing project, useful PHA materials (for patients, caregivers, medical professionals, PH associations, etc) are translated and published in print and online – giving our best publications the widest reach possible. If you know a foreign language and are willing to help translate materials, please contact translation@PHAssociation.org. Thank you!
