If you lost your job or will stop working soon

COBRA allows you to keep your health insurance policy if you are losing or changing jobs.

If you are concerned about the privacy of your medical information

HIPAA protects your personal information while also allowing healthcare administrators to conduct necessary business operations.

GINA
prohibits insurance providers and employers from discriminating on the basis of your genetic information.

If you are being prevented from accessing insurance plan information

ERISA requires insurances providers to disclose plan benefits and funding levels, as well as how you can manage and access your benefits.

If you have an urgent family medical emergency

FMLA provides employees with the right to take time off to address family medical issues. Determine if you are eligible for leave under FMLA here.
