SLC Committees and Education Programs
PHA's Scientific Leadership Council has five committees actively supporting the development of new education and resources on pulmonary hypertension for both the medical and patient communities. Guided by the common mission of raising awareness about pulmonary hypertension, each committee focuses on the various educational needs of the PH community.
Education Committee
The Education Committee provides guidance in the development of patient educational material such as the Patients Survival Guide develops current information on the latest treatments and also develops consensus statements on different aspects of living with pulmonary hypertension. Research Committee
Members of the Research Committees are leading researchers in the field of pulmonary hypertension. They guide the growth and development of PHA’s research program with over $12.5 million in commited funds for pulmonary hypertension research. Read more
Journal Editorial Board
PHA’s Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension is the most comprehensive journal on pulmonary hypertension. Content is developed by members of the SLC’s Journal Editorial Board. See the online version of Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension.
Scientific Sessions Committee
PHA’s International Conference and Scientific Sessions offers a one day Continuing Medical Education (CME) session for medical professionals. This comprehensive program is developed by members of the Scientific Sessions Committee. Read more

PHA’s International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions includes a two day program for patients and caregivers. These sessions are led by recognized leaders in the field of pulmonary hypertension. Read more
Insurance Advocacy Committee
The Insurance Advocacy Committee supports PHA in its mission to educate the PH community about insurance while increasing payer awareness about PH treatment and diagnosis best practices. Read more
