MedledPSSST! HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THE NEW RESOURCES DEBUTING AT CONFERENCE?

PHA will debut three patient-focused resources at Conference

Conference Passport
The "Official" Conference Passport is your gateway tool to getting the most out of all that Conference has to offer. This new resource will help attendees meet others at Conference through an interactive scavenger hunt. The passport will also help attendees stay organized throughout the weekend with sample itineraries to follow along with a blank itinerary to fill out and keep on hand.

Adrienne sigConference Handout Book
The Conference Handout Book is a new educational resource of session handouts from many of the Skill Building Workshops, Patient/Family Led Sessions and Medically Led Sessions. Look for the periwinkle colored cover when you arrive at the Conference Check-in and On-site Registration desk. A PDF copy will also be made available online after Conference.

Adrienne sigPatient's Survival Guide
Stop by the PHA Store throughout Conference to purchase the latest edition of Pulmonary Hypertension: A Patient Survival Guide ($15). After Conference, the Survival Guide will be available for purchase online.
ScholarshipsCONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP FUND RISES TO THE OCCASION

A record number of requests for scholarship assistance were submitted for this year's International PH Conference - over one hundred more than were received for the 2008 Conference!

PHA is delighted that we have met the challenge by awarding funding to more recipients than ever before! PHA's Conference Scholarship committee has offered $214,615 in funding to 236 PH patients, parent caregivers and leaders from PH associations around the world. Over half of these recipients will be first-time Conference attendees.
OVERHEARD -- HEARTFELT THANKS FROM OUR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
"I am SO excited about being able to attend. Thank you seems inadequate for the Scholarship PHA awarded me, but thank you very much, I really appreciate it. It is difficult to express how meaningful it is to me to be able to attend a meeting so powerful it renews one's faith. Faith in my fellow man; I did not know there is so much good and kindness in the world until PHA brought them together under one roof. Faith that a cure will be found in my lifetime because of the dedication of the pharmaceutical companies. Faith in the people at PHA who are ALWAYS there to help. Faith in knowing we will receive meaningful education in an 'understandable' forum."
- Carol Lindstrom

"I am most blessed to have received your scholarship for the meeting in June. Without your assistance I would not have been able to attend. I am looking forward to the session for support group leaders, and the opportunity to meet the PH staff, having talked to many of you by phone. Thank you so much for blessing me with this opportunity to attend the meeting."
- Pamela Carner
