Things I Found: Back-to-School Resources

Children in the classroomBack-to-school is so early these days, it sneaks up on me. It's here now, and I'm being serenaded by the "outdoor voices" of 50 little children at recess on the schoolyard across the street. Of course that gave me the idea to find some resources for dealing with school when your child has PH.

There are many resources in our Parents section; I'll highlight a few of them:

IEP and 504 Plans: Did you know that children with PH are entitled to education accommodations that ensure their safety and ability to participate in school?

Watch our planning for school webinar From Hospital to Schoolroom and learn how to secure education accommodations to make school a safe and rewarding experience for your child.

The School Resource Handbook is filled with helpful information, from sample letters to your child's school to medication information pages you can print.

And while I'm finding resources for you and your children, I can't leave out the Parent-to-Parent Telephone Support Group. On the third Thursday of each month, parents from all over the U.S. connect in a free conference call.

Find all of these resources - and many more - in our Parents section.

I hope this school year is a great one for you and your children!
