Dr. Terry Fortin, speaker
Sunday, February 26, 2012

We had a wonderful meeting yesterday, Feb. 25, with Dr. Terry Fortin, MD, MS from Duke Hospital. Dr. Fortin spoke about the basics of PH - how your heart and lungs work together and about the symptoms that show up with Pulmonary Hypertension. She then spoke about 'Exercise and PH' and how important it is to 'MOVE IT or LOSE IT'.

Jason's Deli provided a light lunch provided by PHA Central Funding. Everythings was just delicious.

If you missed this meeting I'm sorry. It was quite informative AND enjoyable. Dr. Fortin spoke on a level that everyone could easily understand. Questions and Answers along with sharing with others occurred at the end of the meeting.

Next meeting is May 12, 2012, Matthews Presbyterian Hospital, 1500 Matthews Township Parkway, Matthews NC 28105, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. The Community A/B Room is where we usually meet. It is across from the Information Desk as you go into the hospital.

Hope to see you there !!
