Special Events Mentorship Program

Denise BradbyDenise Bradby

If you’re new to planning events and want extra advice from a seasoned PHA volunteer planner who’s hosted a similar event, you’re in luck! PHA offers a mentorship program specifically for our Special Event organizers. Whether you’re hosting a fun walk, gala, golf tournament or venturing out to try something a bit different, we have a network of mentors who can talk with you about the process and share their own experiences.

To get connected with a Special Events mentor or become a mentor yourself, contact Jessica at 301-565-3004 x765 or JessicaM@PHAssociation.org.

Meet a Mentor – Cookin’ Up a Cure House Parties

In each new issue of Event-ful Times, we’ll profile an organizer from our Special Events mentor network. Meet Denise Bradby, PH patient and organizer of PHood PHight Against PH. Denise uses her love of cooking to positively redefine her lifestyle and give back to the PH community:

"I am constantly touched by the good will and concern people show me. The PHood PHights were a definite highlight of my 2010 and pointed out people’s capacity to give. And, they definitely served my need to give back to PHA for being a resource in those early, dark days when I had no idea what was going on. The funds I raised will hopefully decrease the time in which we find better meds and a cure.”
