as told by Marie Dupree
My sister Portia Ellis was diagnosed with primary pulmonary hypertension in 1998. She was put on epoprostenol and did well on it. Her daughter and I would help her order her medications and make her medications every night. She was tired a lot, but kept on going. She also had liver problems. We had to take her to the University of North Carolina hospital at Chapel Hill, N.C. about twice a year because her ammonia level would get too high. We took her to Chapel Hill on June 28, 2010 and after just three days they called the family in and she just got worse and passed away on July 7, 2010 at 11:35 pm.
She was my sister and my best friend.... She will forever be in my HEART....
Love you SIS....
