Sponsor Benefits and Policies

Sponsorship Levels

2016 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions sponsors will be recognized at the following levels:
Diamond $285,000
Platinum $215,000
Gold $160,000
Silver $110,000
Bronze $75,000
Sponsorship levels will be based on the total amount of funding committed to sponsorship opportunities. Contributions to the Patient Scholarship Fund, exhibit booths and advertising space will not be counted toward the total.

Right of First Refusal

While most items are co-sponsorships, for those sole-sponsorship items, Diamond-level sponsors from PHA’s 2014 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions can begin first reservation rights on all sole-sponsorships for 2016 on day one of the right of first refusal process. Following that, Platinum-level sponsors can begin first reservation rights on day five. All others can begin making their reservations for 2016 Conference sponsorship opportunities on day ten. There will be a brief preview period prior to this process where PHA will distribute the document for review and planning purposes. At that time, PHA will designate “day one” of the right of first refusal process. PHA will contact these companies with specific instructions prior to the preview period.

The right of first refusal benefit will be continued for Diamond and Platinum sponsors of the 2016 Conference for sponsorship opportunities offered for the 2018 Conference. PHA reserves the right to change sole sponsorships to co-sponsorships (or vice versa) at its discretion.

Placing Sponsorships on Hold

PHA understands that most companies require a formal review process before funding commitments can be made. When a sponsor indicates interest in an opportunity that is offered as a sole sponsorship, PHA will place that item on hold for a maximum of three weeks while the appropriate approvals are sought. After three weeks, the sponsorship will be made available to other interested parties if no final commitment can be made.

Sponsor Benefits and Recognition

All sponsors are recognized prominently before, during and after the 2016 International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions as leading supporters of PHA and the PH community through this community-defining event.

In addition to the benefits listed in the 2016 Conference Benefits chart, sponsors of non-accredited programs that include a meal will be recognized with signage, placards on each table, and the sponsor will be offered the opportunity to make brief remarks at the beginning of the program. Some sponsorships offer additional opportunities for recognition; details are specified in the individual sponsorship descriptions.

Sponsorship level must be confirmed and the appropriate advertising, exhibiting or meeting space must be purchased by Monday, May 2, 2016 to take advantage of most sponsor benefits, except where otherwise noted.

Fourth International Leaders' Summit
$55,000 (co-sponsorships)
Reserved: Bayer International

The International Leaders’ Summit in 2014 brought together PH association leaders from 30 nations to participate in a day of peer-to-peer learning and invaluable networking. The popularity of the sessions is demonstrated by their continuous growth since the first in 2010 when leaders from 12 nations participated. Presentations at the 2014 Summit included working with medical professionals and the use of regional associations in building out new PH infrastructure, as well as small-group discussions in two main languages (English and Spanish) on fundraising, educational and psychosocial programming, and leveraging networks and increasing volunteerism for the association. From these invaluable connections, the global fight against PH is catalyzed. The Fourth International Leaders' Summit at the 2016 Conference expects even greater international participation, and will offer skill-building and capacity-building workshops. Global leaders will spend a pre-Conference day addressing topics of shared priority including improved access to medications, early and accurate diagnosis, patient registries, and improved awareness at both the population and medical professional levels. Proceedings from the meeting will be developed into enduring materials for continued value.

In addition to the benefits listed above, sponsor recognition will include acknowledgment on signage at the International Leaders’ Summit.

NEW! Spanish Language Access
$15,000 (co-sponsorships)
Reserved: Reata Pharmaceuticals

Our vision is to make Conference accessible to the largest possible number of people affected by PH. Because 2016 Conference is in Texas, which has large numbers of Spanish-only speakers and shares a border (and a bus line) with northern México, it is extremely important to make this Conference especially Spanish-friendly. Additionally, our experience with the 2014 Conference showed a strong need to accommodate international participants who speak only Spanish, as almost 50% of the international leaders who came to the Conference did. We plan to achieve this accessibility through translation and production of mini-Program Books and signs, simultaneous interpretation for the Leaders' Summit and Patient and Family-Lead Sessions, Spanish-language Medically-Lead Sessions and increased recruitment of bilingual volunteers. PHA will promote Conference with Spanish/English marketing and will facilitate marketing and outreach with Spanish-speaking support groups and international associations.

In addition to the benefits listed above, sponsor recognition will include acknowledgment on signage outside of interpreted sessions and on the Spanish Program Books and signage.
