Right of First Refusal

Diamond-level sponsors from PHA’s 9th International PH Conference and Scientific Sessions in June 2010 will have a ten-day preview period with first reservation rights on all sponsorship opportunities; following that, Platinum-level sponsors will have a five-day, preview period. Placing Sponsorships on Hold

PHA understands that most companies require a formal review process before funding commitments can be made. When a sponsor indicates interest in an opportunity that is offered as a sole sponsorship, PHA will place that item on hold for a maximum of four weeks while the appropriate approvals are sought.  After four weeks, the sponsorship will be made available to other interested parties if no final commitment can be made.

Sponsor Recognition

In addition to the benefits listed below, sponsors of non-accredited programs that include a meal will be recognized with placards on each table, and the sponsor will be offered the opportunity to make brief remarks at the beginning of the program. Some sponsorships offer additional opportunities for recognition; details are specified in the individual sponsorship descriptions.

Sponsor Benefits

Sponsorship level must be confirmed and the appropriate advertising, exhibit or meeting space must be purchased by May 1, 2012 to take advantage of these benefits except where otherwise noted.

LearningPlenary Sessions

Conference Opening Dinner

$100,000 (sole sponsorship)
 - Reserved: Actelion Pharmaceuticals

The Conference opening dinner on Friday evening is the first meal that the PHA community shares together.  New patients and caregivers connect with each other and with medical professionals, and old friends renew acquaintances. Ties begin to forge that last through the Conference and far beyond.  The primary program element for this dinner will be a presentation by a world-renowned PH physician providing a retrospective look at the progress that has been made in the PH medical field during the last two decades, with a look ahead to what’s on the horizon. The Research Awards will be presented at this dinner.

Network with a Medical Professional Breakfast

$50,000 (sole sponsorship)
 - Reserved: Novartis Pharmaceuticals

This Saturday morning breakfast provides patients and caregivers with the unique opportunity to interact with medical professionals in a non-clinical setting. Each table will focus on a particular area of interest, and medical professionals specializing in that topic will be seated at each table for face-to-face discussion with patients and caregivers.

Journeys Luncheon

$75,000 (sole sponsorship)

The Journeys Luncheon highlights the life experiences that patients and their care teams share on Saturday afternoon. This Conference tradition – composed of three physicians, each presenting with a patient or caregiver of his or her choice – breaks down barriers and underscores the partnerships that make the PH community both unique and successful.

Power of One Founders’ Dinner

$100,000 (sole sponsorship)
 - Reserved: Gilead Sciences

This Saturday evening program is one of the International PH Conference’s signature events and is known informally as “the video dinner.” A highlight video is filmed during Conference programming on Thursday and Friday, and is screened during Saturday’s dinner program with much anticipation. The Outstanding PHA Member honors are awarded following the screening of the video, and the program will also feature a keynote address from a patient leader.
Note: The sponsor of this meal also agrees to support the Conference highlight video at an additional sponsorship cost of $23,500. The video is also posted online following the Conference with continuing sponsor recognition.

Next Generation of PHA Leaders Breakfast

$50,000 (sole sponsorship)

The spirit of volunteerism is the force that has helped the PH community grow beyond its numbers as a small, rare disease. During this breakfast on Sunday, a panel of PH community leaders will discuss what they have done to further the mission of PHA and how their involvement has enhanced their lives.
