Scientific Sessions

Dr. Todd BullPH Around the World

At the Scientific Sessions at PHA’s International PH Conference, researchers and healthcare professionals will have the opportunity to engage in educational sessions about PH practice and cutting-edge research. The theme of PHA’s 2016 Scientific Sessions is PH Around the World, and presentations will discuss the differences in the diagnosis, epidemiology, pathophysiology, and medical management of PH and PAH between developed and developing regions in order to facilitate the development and dissemination of novel treatment strategies for these conditions.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe individual characteristics of specific causes
    of PH worldwide.
  2. Discuss if and how interventions successfully used in the
Western world can be applied in the developing world.
  3. Discuss how to leverage successes and failures in PH
research over the past 25 years for the development
    of novel therapies and treatments.
