PH Patient in the Spotlight on CNN en Español

Migdalia Denis on CNN en Espanol

Migdalia Denis appeared on CNN en Español on Dec. 16, 2011, to talk about living with pulmonary hypertension. Here is a summary of the interview:

Migdalia Denis, a PH patient living in Florida, has taken a strong role in recent years in the Spanish-speaking PH community. Migdalia formed the Sociedad Latina de Hipertensión Pulmonar, a group dedicated to advancing the field of PH and working closely with other Spanish speaking PH associations in Central and South America. Migdalia was recently interviewed on CNN’s Notimujer, a program broadcast in Spanish.

Here is what she had to say about her interview: “This interview summarizes my experiences through this process and the positive attitude towards life. After being diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension my life changed; it became a lot better and I see things differently now. I moved from my home country to a place where I didn’t even know the language, but I got to meet a lot of great people who helped me throughout the journey. With no resources and many negative things along the way, I found a way to make it through, day by day and live one day at a time. My message is to never give up and continue your role in life by overcoming obstacles, but most importantly, by being positive.” Watch Migdalia’s interview (in Spanish)
